I listened to the audiobook version of the story. It was narrated by three different women. I didn't care for the Elise sections and was tempted to skim through them. I didn't for fear I'd miss important information. The narration sounded breathless like she was rushing to read with emphasis in odd places in sentences.
I may reread it but read the book next time. This was more than a book about someone passing or not. It was a story about mothers and daughters and heartbreak and women helping women. I really loved the Hazel and Kitty sections. Though there are times that the back and forth in Kitty's sections left me having to rewind to understand. There were too many names to keep track of who was who and where they fit into the story. Definitely worth reading and discussing.
